Resource and Referral was established in 1998 and has
grown into one of the largest non-profit rescue organizations
in the country dedicated exclusively to domestic pet rats and
other small domestic pets. Rattie Ratz operates a limited-access
rescue and accepts needy rats from local overwhelmed shelters.
The organization is dedicated to responsible pet guardianship,
a lifelong commitment to companion animals, and a respect for
all animal life. Improving the lives of small animal companions
and their guardians is the primary focus of their rescue efforts.

- PENINSULA HUMANE SOCIETY & SPCA
PHS/SPCA, a
private non-profit organization guided by the humane ethic,
builds healthy relationships between people and animals. Each
year thousands of animals pass through our doors. We provide
a warm bed, nutritious food, veterinary care and a gentle
touch for the lost, stray, unwanted and injured domestic and
wild animals in our community.
